Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive victory over Frenchman Moutet.

He recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the last five games to take the lead.

Moutet rescued four early-game opportunities in a close third set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to secure the win.

Suitably, he earned the win with a point at the net, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
